Daddy bought a Segway!
After all the excitement last week, this was supposed to the lull week...considering we were about to move to another country last week and next week we're going to Hawaii, I didn't have much planned this week. But I did a few cool things.
First of all, I'm the Vancouver Tivo pimp. After having Tivo working for a while now (and, oh, how I love it) I've been telling anyone who'll listen how cool Tivo is. Tape shows, pause live TV, find out Tivo has taped Fashion File for you without even asking. How can I not tell people. So now I've bought 2 more Tivos for other people on eBay...pick up the Tivo in Blaine, tell 'em how to set it up and let 'em feel the Tivo love. I'm not even going to mark them up. It's practically charity.
Saw Bridget Jones with the girls on tightwad Tuesday. Cute movie, pigged out on greasy popcorn. I have no idea how Mark Darcy keeps going back to Bridget - her character is so awkward and, quite honestly, lame. If this sort of thing keeps women thinking that they can completely spaz out and their boyfriends will just love it and come back for more, they will find they are sadly mistaken.
I had the best day today. Started out with learning last night that Dad bought a Segway. It for one of the Craftsmans that's separated into 2 separate buildings: the offfice/detailing is where customers drop off the cars and the body/paint shop is a half block away. The Segway is to get the manager between the 2 buildings faster. So Dad is going to cruise into his company Xmas party on the thing and give a speech, then give it to the manager who's getting it. Hillarious!
So, I planned to try the Segway out today before it got given away. Then, this morning, Craig calls and says he told a friend of a Vancouver Sun reporter that I used my iPod all the time...I wind up getting interviewed for an article about girls who use iPods and get my pic taken with my iPod on the Segway. Geeky! Then, I did a little shopping at the new Park Royal Village (found the cutest sequinned T at Old Navy for $5.99!) and had a pedi at Spa Utopia. Woohoo!
Oh, and I got hair extensions this week too. Wasn't quite sure about them at first but it's day 3 and I'm loving them.
No big plans tomorrow, other than studying for an Economics final on Saturday morning. Then we're off on Sunday. Whee!
