Movies vs. hockey

All summer, I wasn't too interested in heading to the theatre. There were only a couple of films to see then but now there are tons of films I have to check out. I just don't have time for this! I wanna see The Weatherman, Shopgirl, Goodnight and Good Luck, Capote, Stay, Domino, A History of Violence, Proof, Where the Truth Lies and a bunch of 'guilty pleasure' or fun movies like Saw 2, The Fog, Wallace & Grommit, In Her Shoes or Lord of War.

And hockey has been awesome to watch lately. So many wins. Ok, Thursday was ugly but tonight will be a great game. I love my defencemen. Ohlund, Jovo, Brookbank, Baumgartner. And to top it off, Craig & I found the perfect place to watch PPV games. Moxie's on Davie...in the middle of a gay neighborhood which has a bunch of pubs that show the games and it's really a restaurant. It's not busy and has 6 huge plasma TVs. Perfect.

Pen vs. Keyboard

For Christmas last year, my mother gave me a really big diary that was for keeping track of everything that happens over the course of the years - it's a big book that I was to use for a long time. Since I had just started posting here, I figured I'd just continue on with blogger rather than a stupid luddite book and I haven't written in a diary since my idiot dad took my high school years diary and photocopied the whole thing for 'his records'. So now I have to keep up better here. Either way, I had all the unemployed time in the world to document the year's happenings.

So...I'm in week 7 at my new job which sometimes is good and sometimes I question if I'm doing the right job for me, finally got my SFU grad over with, I've been eBaying my head off (buying and selling), film festing, been to 2 Canucks games and trying to get into some kind of excercise routine. I thought the new work schedule would help me get to the gym or something. I also aslo had the theory that when I wasn't working I'd get to the gym. I don't think I can con myself into it at this point. I'll get there.

I also have to start carrying around my camera more. I haven't been doing that since I started up working again. And there's lots of funny stuff out there.

I heart eBay

There's fun stuff you can do on eBay other than spend hours looking at stuff you pretty much don't need. Like trolling through people's previous purchases via their feedback. Take this guy for example. He tried to sell his leather pants. I guess he did. But the fun is checking out what else he's into. Music. That's what he's into. I'm picturing Rob from High Fidelity or some Cameron Crowe rock/relationship film.
