Why is finding jeans so crazy difficult?

Jeans

I have a few pairs of jeans that are long and are hemmed for wearing with heels and I've decided that I want to buy some jeans that work for flip flops and flats.

Shopping for jeans is a gut wrenching experience. You start out with high hopes...how hard could it be. They're just pants right? Wrong! This week I hit Robson and tried on Gap, Banana, Esprit, Jacob and Sevens. I found a nice pair of wide legged trouser jeans from Esprit but they didn't really fit the bill of summertime-weekend-flip-flop jeans. Next week, I'll take a crack at some more considering I'll be in Chicago for work. (And we're heading to San Francisco and LA for the May long weekend.) But I have to be in the right frame of mind for the jeans expedition.

There are some jeans guides online but they don't really cover everything. I really like the Denim Guide on Shopbop since my measurements are the same as the curvy measurements. Oprah has a Jeans Therapy page. And Style Bakery did a good little jeans guide last fall. At any rate, it's tough to find jeans under $100.

Buying a bikini is easier than this. There's gotta be a better way.

Reporting back on the Army and Navy shoe sale

The sale was a cornucopia of cheap shoes and sweaty, crazed women. It wasn't pretty. After 1 hour of digging through giant piles of shoes that had been abandoned by other shoppers, I only came away with 2 that I really liked. And they were exactly the same - one gold, one silver. They will defenitely be the summer party shoes.

Zilya spent 2 hours in there and came away with 4 pairs for $130. Jackie, the reigning A&N shoes sale veteran got 5 pairs for $150 and only spent an hour in there. Statistically speaking, she is the clear winner.

Rob Corddry hates me!

Seriously...on the Daily Show the other day, he had a bit about racism and how he hates everyone. So across the screen he lists (super fast!) all the groups of people he hates including Tivo Users and List Pausers. It went by so fast I had to replay the list on slow - and in the list is listpauser@yahoo.com. So if you email him, here's what he sends you. Dunno if it was an autoresponder cause it was addressed to me as LJ. (Lipgloss Junkie)
