I have a few pairs of jeans that are long and are hemmed for wearing with heels and I've decided that I want to buy some jeans that work for flip flops and flats.
Shopping for jeans is a gut wrenching experience. You start out with high hopes...how hard could it be. They're just pants right? Wrong! This week I hit Robson and tried on Gap, Banana, Esprit, Jacob and Sevens. I found a nice pair of wide legged trouser jeans from Esprit but they didn't really fit the bill of summertime-weekend-flip-flop jeans. Next week, I'll take a crack at some more considering I'll be in Chicago for work. (And we're heading to San Francisco and LA for the May long weekend.) But I have to be in the right frame of mind for the jeans expedition.
There are some jeans guides online but they don't really cover everything. I really like the Denim Guide on Shopbop since my measurements are the same as the curvy measurements. Oprah has a Jeans Therapy page. And Style Bakery did a good little jeans guide last fall. At any rate, it's tough to find jeans under $100.
Buying a bikini is easier than this. There's gotta be a better way.
