In the meantime, here are some Sydney shopping guides that I've come across. This one from Urban Walkabout is great for the Oxford Street, Darlinghurst area. I suspect it's been put together to combat the "mallification" syndrome over in Bondi Junction as many of the shops on Oxford can be found in the Westfield Mall.
Here are a few more guides. Pretty much in descending order of spendy-ness. Castlereagh and Martin Place is where all the chi chi shops are. Queen Street is only slightly less snooty and has great cafes. King Street is full on funky.
