Shopping in Melbourne

Yarra-Prahran-Windsor Shopping

Been going to Melbourne for work lately. There's a real Sydney-Melbourne rivalry much like the Vancouver-Toronto deal. Sydney/Vancouver has the better weather. Maybe, someone will say, but Toronto/Melbourne is the foodier, more cosmopolitan city. Whatever! I dig them all, oh, except Toronto.

Stayed at a girlfriend's in Windsor so had to go shopping on Chapel Street. Full of fantastic shops, cafes and bars. Highlights:

There's a Lululemon here! I was jonesing for some Groove Pants! Funny part is that as soon as I walked in the door and looked around, the Canadian guy (who seemed to be the manager) came over to me and said "It's exactly like home, eh?" I hadn't said a word! How did he know I was Canadian? Eerie! (It is a LOT like the Robson store.) Next time I'm in, I'm going back for some Still Crops.

A new fave of mine is Scanlan and Theodore. Found a lovely T-shirt then turned over the tag. $120 on sale?! My shopping partner reminded me that I had just bought yoga pants for $110 and I was only going to wear them to the gym and the top is a gorgeous blue with lovely cap sleeves. She was right. Had to buy the top.

Also picked up a cardie at Gorman. Very cute with all mismatched buttons. And stopped in at Kit for a new lipgloss cause I need more more more!

Anyhoo, love Melbourne. Love Chapel Street. I'm going back this weekend to get together with my new boyfriend Andy Roddick at the Australian Open.

Oh and I just watched Vancouver kick some Leafs ass. Who's the better city now? Ha!

Hey, wish i could afford to go crazy with shopping... My photography addiction has been kinda expensive for me. But i still manage to go out to parties every weekend. If you're ever in the mood for a party just get in contact with me. Being a nightclub photographer can get you free entry to a few places.

Hahaha me too wish i could go crazy shopping without having to think of the gold spent. But, who needs to get out of house to shop at this generation. Local shopping sites offer just as great deals without having to step out of house.
