What I do other than shopping

I {heart} the Canucks. (We are a few days behind due to having to d/l games.) And my boyfriend Luongo. (I'd learn to love that hair.)

luongo

We just finished watching Game 7. Ho-lee.

Notable parts of the game - other than Luongo's MASSIVE saves: Harry Neale's (or is it Tom Larsheid?) quotes such as "The ripest peach is the highest on the tree and the hardest to pick. That's game 7 isn't it?" in an extended icing call. And "1:03 to go and Vancouver can smell the Anaheim Mighty Ducks right now." Really?? Smell them?? Total comic relief.

I could watch the third period over and over.

I also love that there's a real AC/DC presence in GM place too. Aussie charm.

(I am kind of bummed that they're doing so well and I'm not there. (A good post on this here.) I'm also bummed that GM place finally put in those around the rink scoreboard thingies + the giant eff-off scoreboard and I haven't seen it in person yet.)

Solution to the muffin top?

Just read about these Bella Bands. Basically a fabric band used as a layering piece to keep maternity wear on.

Wouldn't this be perfect for girls who want to wear jeans that just weren't meant for thier bodies? All those girls that think they look good in skinny Sass & Bide, Ksubi and Superfines (but don't) could get these to smooth over the muffin top. Sort of the next gen of Spanx.

You think I'm joking but I'm not! This would totally work!

What I did the past 3 weeks

  • Went to SA on a long Easter weekend. Stayed at a holiday house with 2 screaming 2-year-old twins in Normanville. Lovely quiet beaches to visit. Without children.
  • Visited wineries in Maclaren Vale on said long weekend. The winner: Fox Creek. Picked up a bottle of Vixen - dark bubbly panty remover.

  • Spent a bunch of time at the Westie Fest The Sydney Royal Easter Show. (It was a work thing.) I'd never seen "Cheese on a Stick" or a woman fired out of a cannon before.
  • Started a new personal trend of trying a new restaraunt a week. So far: Pompeii and Brown Sugar. Both in Bondi. Will travel further next time.
  • Read a book: Debutante Divorcees by Plum Sykes. I highly discourage you from reading it unless you simply need a brainless beach book.
  • have become slightly obessed with Facebook.
  • Have been host to my Mum who is here from Vancouver. It's basically been eating and shopping. Yay!
  • Bargain of the week: (or 3 weeks) a Tar-jay floor lamp...must be a knock off of some design-y spendy thing!

  • Have not missed a game of the 1st round of the Canucks playoffs. I love the internet. And the Canucks.
  • Will be at the bar tomorrow night for game 4 - apparently Fox Sports is playing it on TV here in Sydney. Amazing!

    Found it.

Here's the solution. These will fit in an effing ziplock bag!

I think it's funny that Sephora even puts a disclaimer on this set.
