Halfway through my trip

Some first impressions being back in Vancouver...
  • Being in the 'summer' weather reminds me that I'm happy I left.
  • Having said that, I really do miss my Vancouver peeps.
  • My new little nephew is the most adorable baby on the planet. Fact.
  • Sake does not always turn me evil.
  • 4-way-stops are retarded.
  • I don't really miss Starbucks the way I thought I would.
  • Sales tax and tipping is dumb.
  • H&M is worth the trip to the boonies. I mean suburbs.
  • The new paint job on Vancouver buses is serously depressing. Why grey in a city so grey?

I haven't downloaded any photos from my camera yet so H&M in Coquitlam is all you get from me for now.

    Sue me, noobs.

I love Vogue Forums...those girls have helped me a lot in my past year here in Sydney. I've done a lot of exploring on my own but posting and getting answers there have helped me find my way.

Was reading through new posts last night and laughed out loud at this chick's user heading.

    Sue me noobs.

    Noice!

    More Surry Hils Warehouse Sales!

I just got back from the Cooper St sale. Good sale for basics...most pieces are between $25-40 with only a few at $50.

I got a black high waisted pencil skirt for $35, black wide legged pants for $40, a black & white patterned halter style top for $25 and a black swing coat with adorable heart print lining for $50. Woo hoo!

Also visited the Alice McCall sale - was super busy and there wasn't much range there. Although they did have a few of the dress pictured in the Missy Confidential link. Nothing that I really loved other than this stunning dress that was a one of a kind sample size.

The Cooper St sale continues on tomorrow but Alice McCall is one day today only.

    Myer Fashion Show

At Carriageworks last night. Very cool display with a moving lit up ceiling that changed for the different designers. Jen Hawkins came out in 4 outfits. I want every Nicola Finetti dress that they showed. Here's the last few minutes...a live singer above us in the wall singing Madonna, Jen's finale and all that.

    Another post about ebay...

I love my ebay scores so much I want to tell you about the latest...not buying - selling!

Remember how I bought 4 shirts for $40 at the Kirribilli markets? When I got home, I decided that one of them didn't suit me and that I probably wouldn't wear it very much. So I put it on ebay for the $5 I paid for it...I added a perfume sample I got for free just so I'd get a little more traffic. Guess what? It went for $31.22!! No kidding.

    MinkPink

At the same time, I put on a 2/3 full bottle of Chanel cleanser that I bought off a gal on Vogue forums for $20. It went for $29. For real! (I was barely expecting it to sell.) And I'm selling more...so buy my stuff people!

Buy low, sell high? How do I do the same on the stock market?

    5 pairs in 24 hours

It's called shopping and it's a disease. I'm sick and I have an addiction.

    5PairsOfShoes

2 pairs of sparkly flats bought last night after work. 2 pairs of heels at the PeepToes sale earlier today. 1 pair of yellow wedges this arvo. I couldn't help myself.

This was a great sale! $220 shoes for $50-100. And held in an old church. Shopping as a near religious experience.

    When nature calls while shopping...

The new 3rd floor in the Broadway shopping centre has been open for a few months now. They've been having sales, handing out flyers and all sorts to get people up there.

What they should be doing is telling people how nice the bathrooms are.

The Loo at the Broadway Shopping Centre

It's all modern, clean and lovely. The handsoap is L'Occitane. The powder room is the best part. Need to make a call? Refresh your makeup? Change into your latest purchase so you can head straight out for drinks in a new top or shoes? This is the place.

The Loo at the Broadway Shopping Centre

Who knew I'd be blogging about the loo?
